Race in Paradise — Set in the heart of Tropical North Queensland, with the iconic Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest nearby, IRONMAN Cairns features a palm-tree-lined beach start, a completely closed coastal highway for the bike, and a flat, fun run course along the main strip of Cairns.

PACE PACER GUIDELINES — Find your target times by Start Wave (Net Time) on race day at the transition area: Pacers will be active in waves corresponding to designed target times; look for Pacer flag colors at T1 and on the bike segment. For your pacing group, follow the designated pacers and use the transition area signage to align with your wave start and target net finish time.

When and where is the race start?
The race starts on Sunday, 5 July 2025 at 06:00 from the Cairns Esplanade and the adjacent Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal.
What is the cut-off time for the full distance?
The full distance cut-off is 17 hours from the start; half distance cut-off is 10 hours; quarter cut-off is 6 hours.
Is there an age limit or qualification requirement?
You must be at least 18 years old on race day. No age-group qualification is required for this event.
What support is available during the race?
Pacers are provided across all distances, SAG support and course marshals are available, and medical support is stationed at transition and key points on the course.
Where can I collect my race kit?
Race kits are available for collection at the Cairns Convention Centre. Specific collection times are communicated via race email and the pre-race info page.
