The Jack 15 Road Race, presented by the Prairie Striders Running Club, is a scenic 15-mile race starting in White, South Dakota, and finishing at the SDSU Campanile in Brookings. A family-friendly event with course options for kids and competitive divisions for adults.

Pacers

Pacers will be featured on the race course with target times published on the event’s Renntag schedule. Pacers help runners maintain goal pace and are identified by Pacerflaggen on race day; follow designated start waves and respect pacers as official pace setters.

What is the race route?

The course runs from White, South Dakota, to the SDSU Campanile in Brookings, with marked streets, bike paths, and scenic stretches. A detailed map is available for download.

Are there age categories and awards?

Yes. Awards include medals for all finishers and cash prizes for top male and female open and masters finishers; age-category certificates are awarded to top three in each category.

Is there a kids run?

Yes, children through age 12 can run a 0.1–0.5 mile loop starting and finishing at the Clock Tower across from the Campanile. Free entry and a free T-shirt.

What is the registration deadline and cost?

Preregistration by 8/31/26 is $40 for individuals and $30 per team member; fees increase after 8/31 and at the door.

Is there transportation to the start?

A free shuttle runs from the Campanile on Medary Avenue in Brookings to the start in White; rides leave at 7:00, 7:30, and 7:45 a.m. No transportation between relay exchange points.
