A fast and flat 5K held in Saratoga Springs as part of Saratoga’s thoroughbred horse racing season, benefiting Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga, with post-race honors and awards.

Pacemakers will be present for designated Start Waves listed on the "Race Day" schedule (Renntag) on the website. Refer to the event schedule for target times per wave and flag identifiers for pacer support.

Please do not give your bib to anyone else! Each bib has a B-Tag on the back, which is encoded with the participant’s name, age, etc. Allowing someone else to use your bib can create big problems with race results and can impact the outcome for other runners.

Strollers are allowed and encouraged so that families may participate together. Please register only the person who will be pushing the stroller. Please DO NOT register the rider in the stroller, as that causes problems with our age-based award system.
While we are dog lovers, we do not allow dogs to be on the course for various reasons.
While we understand that plans can change, we would like to ask that you consider that this is a benefit race, which is a fundraiser. In certain circumstances, we may refund on a case-by-case basis up to 10 days before the race start.
Yes, the awards will be at Fleet Feet Malta for two weeks after the event. Please pick it up during that time period.
Yes, if that size remains available after the event. You may contact Fleet Feet Malta for a period of two weeks after the event to check on sizing.
This is a run/walk event. We ask that all participants finish in one hour (15-minute miles). However, the Firecracker event and FC4, Inc. promotes health and some of us do not do 15-minute miles. So, walkers, please use the sidewalks and side of roads at the end of the event if your pace requires.
Yes, we encourage this. It is of great benefit to the young kids and the volunteers at the event. Anyone accompanying a young child does not need to register; just the child should be registered.
Yes. If you have a young child who will run in the Sparkler and then ride in a stroller for the Firecracker4, please register as follows for each event: For the Sparkler Run, please register only the child participant; anyone older who is accompanying a young child should not register for that event. For the Firecracker 4, only the person pushing the stroller should register; children riding in strollers should not be registered.
