The Juneau Marathon & Half Marathon, formerly the Frank Maier Memorial Marathon & Douglas Island Half Marathon, offers scenic out-and-back courses on Douglas Island with mountain, glacier, forest and ocean views. The event supports the NAOC series and includes aid stations, gear, awards and post-race food.
Catering & aid stations
On-course aid stations provide water, Gatorade, and Gu. Water and Gatorade are also available at the start. Food and beverage are available after the races.
Pacers
Pacemaker/Pacer information merged from registration and Renntag guidance: Pacers set target times per start wave and display Pacerflaggen; refer to the event’s Renntag für Laufende page for current-year pacer goals. Pacers help runners maintain goal pace and provide on-course encouragement.
