About

The Kenwood Footrace is a beloved Independence Day tradition in Kenwood, CA, offering a 10K and a 3K wine country race through scenic rolling hills and vineyards. Organized by the Empire Runners Club, the event draws runners of all levels and includes festive post-race celebrations.

Catering & aid stations

Pre-order $7 pancake breakfast (normally $15) at registration while supplies last; race-day packet pickup also available at Sports Basement Santa Rosa.

Pacers

The 3K starts at 7:30am and the 10K starts roughly 3 minutes later (or how long it takes for the man with the starting pistol to run from the 3K start). Pacers are identified by Pacerflaggen on the race day start corrals.

Q. When does online registration close? A. Online registration stays open through race morning. Q. Is there a course time limit? A. Yes, the course time limit is 2:00:00. The finish line must be cleaned up for the start of the Kenwood 4th of July Parade. Q. Are registrations refundable? A. We offer race refund insurance, which you may select with your registration. If you decide not to select this option, there will be no way to receive a refund if you're unable to attend the race. Q. Can I mail in a registration form? A. No. Registration is online only.
