The Lauberhorn Run is the legendary "crazy running event" at the Lauberhorn — a short, steep 4.48 km race with around 1,088 metres of ascent. Run downhill from the finish in Wengen to the start at the top. A fast, technical run on snow and firn with iconic views over the Eiger region.
Pizza party in Wengen (behind the Tourist Center) — a pizza is included in the entry fee. Collect voucher when picking up your race number.
Pacers will be active on race day with designated pacers at the various start waves ("Renntag für Laufende"). Pacers help the faster runners to chase their target times; flags with pacer numbers are attached to the gate markers. Note that the final climb up the 110 m ski slope is the "Royal Sprint" — the participant who fastest conquers this gruelling slope wins CHF 1000 (sponsored by the Männlichen aerial cableway). All participants must cross the Lauberhorn finish line; unsporting behaviour or deliberate obstruction will lead to disqualification.
