About

Thunderbirds Track & Field Club’s Longest Day Road Race is a scenic 5K loop on the UBC campus in Vancouver, offering a festive community atmosphere with live music, post-race festivities, and awards. The event welcomes runners of all ages through a structured clinic and competitive program, emphasizing skill development and fun.

Catering & aid stations

Full post-run meal included for 5K/10K finishers (hot dogs, sausages with vegetarian options, salads, fruit, snacks, desserts, drinks). Refreshments may also be purchased from an onsite pub.

Pacers

Pacers will lead the 5K and 10K races, with target times published on the Renntag schedule (Startwelle). Pacers display target-time flags to help runners stay on pace.

Where is the event held?

Thunderbird Stadium, Stadium Road, UBC Campus, Vancouver, BC.

When is package pickup?

Wednesday, May 27, 10:00–18:30, and Thursday, May 28, 10:00–18:30 at Forerunners (4th Avenue). Race-day pickup is discouraged.

What is included in the post-race party?

Live band, onsite beer garden, hot dogs, sausages (vegetarian options), salads, fruit, snacks, desserts, and drinks.

Is parking available at the stadium?

No parking at the stadium; parking is available on the east side of East Mall and in the parking structure on Thunderbird Blvd at Wesbrook. Bike racks are available at the stadium.
