When and where does the race start?
The race takes place Memorial Day, May 25, 2026. All One Mile races will start at 1604 S. Loudoun Street near Blue Ridge Electric. Wave starts: Top ~50 men at 8:30, followed by Top ~50 women at 8:40, then waves of approximately 50 runners each start every 10 minutes. The Tot Trot begins about 10 minutes after the last runner in the final wave, in front of Wilkin's Family Shoe Store.
Is there prize money and age group awards?
Yes. Prize money: 1st Overall $750, 2nd $400, 3rd $250, 4th $175, 5th $125, 1st Masters $100. Age Group Awards for top 3 in each age group (6-7 up to 80+); awards based on CHIP time.
Who is eligible for championship awards?
The 2025 Loudoun Street Mile serves as the RRCA State Championship and the Collegiate Running Association Road Mile Championship. Top 3 collegians are recognized as CRA winners; championship medals are awarded for Overall, Masters (40+), Grandmasters (50+), and Senior Grandmasters (60+).
Are there any comp-entry opportunities?
Yes, a limited number of comp entries are available. Interested runners can email Mark Stickley at mark@runnersretreat.com. Minimum requirements: sub-4:15 for men and sub-4:55 for women.
