The May Day 10 Mile is Witham Running Club’s flagship spring road race, offering a fast, undulating, all-road course through the villages around Witham. Organized and managed by club volunteers, it attracts a strong senior field plus category races for veterans and younger runners.
Water stations at approximately 2 miles, 5 miles, and 8 miles; water also available at the finish. Please do not litter the course and hand all gels/packets to volunteers at stations.
Pacemakers will be present with Pacerflaggen displayed per Startwelle. Refer to the Race HQ for target times per wave; pacers are guided by marshals and radio coordination.
Monthly averages based on historical data (2000–present).
Race start is 10:00 AM; runners are called from 9:45 AM and must be in assigned pens linked to their estimated pace.
Bib collection is 8:30–9:45 AM at Race HQ (Witham Rugby Club). Show your QR code to the registration team to collect.
No parking for runners at Witham Rugby Club or Witham Football Club. Designated run-parking: Witham Sports Ground (Spinks Lane) and Maltings Academy (Spinks Lane), both approx. 5–10 minutes’ walk to HQ.
Yes; a time limit of 2 hours 20 minutes applies. Runners remaining on course after this will be treated as pedestrians and must follow highway rules.
Yes. There are prizes for senior men and senior ladies, plus age-specific categories (U18, veteran over 40/50/60/70/80) and team prizes (first male and first female four-runner teams).
