FAQ

What is the compulsory gear for marathon and half marathon?

All marathon and half marathon runners must carry a day pack with: spare polypropylene/wool top and hat (unless worn), waterproof jacket (unless being worn), food and drink, first aid kit containing a 5cm width crepe bandage, a roll of 2cm strapping tape, 10 band aid strips, a triangular bandage, small scissors, a survival blanket, and a map or screenshots of the area if unfamiliar.

Are there aid stations?

Yes. Aid Station 1 at Woolshed Creek carpark (marathon) and Aid Station 2 at Woolshed Creek Hut (marathon and half marathon) provide water, bananas, lollies and PURE electrolyte hydration. A third station past Sharplin Falls carpark serves 5km runners. No cups are provided — bring your own bottle.

Do I need to attend prize giving?

Yes. Prize giving is approximately at 2:00pm at the Staveley Hall. You must attend to receive prizes; no prizes will be sent out.

Can I transfer my entry from full to half marathon?

Yes. If you're not quite as fit as hoped, you can transfer your entry from the full to the half marathon or vice versa when you collect your shuttle at Staveley Hall.

Are there showers at the event?

No showers are available at Staveley; there is a refreshing stream just up the road.

Are there ATMs at the event?

No ATMs at Staveley — there is only a cafe there.
