Three days on the legendary trails of Moab, Utah — a trail running race featuring single-track, dramatic red-rock scenery, and a community festival atmosphere with aid stations stocked with GU Energy products, F2C hydration, electrolytes, water, chips, fruit, M&Ms, cookies and more.

Pacers

Pacemaker information: On-course pacemakers will run with flagged vests during the event. Target times per Startwave are published in the Race Guide near race day. Pacers run the Full Pint course; Half Pint shares the same course on a staggered start.

FAQ

Where should I stay?

Moab has many accommodation options. The event has partnered with Hoodoo Moab (Curio Collection by Hilton) to set aside a block of rooms. There are also hotels, motels, camping options, and free public land camping outside town.

When and where is packet pick-up and opening ceremonies?

Packet pick-up details can be found on the event page. The race office opens each morning at 7:30am (green TransRockies Run tents). Please note the UDOT waiver must be signed before pick-up; copies will be available at packet pick-up.

Can I change the distance I signed up for?

Yes — email the Race Office (sene.viola@transrockies.com). On race morning, changes can be made at the Race Office tent under the Moab Run the Rocks 10x10.

What’s available at the aid stations?

Aid stations are fully stocked with GU Energy products, F2C hydration products, electrolytes, water, chips, fruit, M&Ms, candy, cookies, and more.

Is dinner included with my registration?

Dinner is not included. There is a Happy Hour on Friday (Old Spanish Trail Arena, 4–5pm) and Saturday (5:30–6:30pm) with free beer and non-alcoholic/Polar seltzer, plus race giveaways and awards.

Where are the award ceremonies?

Stage 1 & 2 awards during Friday Happy Hour at Old Spanish Trail Arena outdoor pavilion; Stage 3 and final awards Sunday at 12:30pm at Bar M (finish line).

Will there be a final banquet/after-party?

There will not be a final banquet, but there is an after-party at Woody’s Tavern (221 S Main St) starting 7:30–8:00pm.

Is shower access available for campers?

Some local campgrounds offer showers for a small fee — see the event page for the complete list.

Where can I buy groceries in Moab?

City Market (425 S Main St), Village Market (702 S Main St), and Moonflower Community Coop (39 E 100 N).

Is there a hospital in Moab?

Yes — Moab Regional Hospital (450 Williams Way) is a 17-bed critical access hospital with emergency room, surgical services, primary care, obstetrical services, and more.

What are the road conditions in Moab?

Check https://udottraffic.utah.gov/ for up-to-date road conditions.

What is biological soil crust?

A living crust of cyanobacteria, bacteria, algae, lichen, mosses, and fungi that covers much desert soil. It’s fragile — avoid stepping or driving on it.

What is minimum impact?

Leave no trace: stay on roads/trails, avoid crust, camp on bare soil, pack out trash, conserve water, and protect wildlife.
