About

A scenic trail race through Moab’s iconic canyons offering marathon, half marathon, 10K, and a Kids K, set among red rock walls and arches. The event also hosts the USATF Trail Half Marathon National Championships and the Collegiate Trail Running Championships.

Catering & aid stations

On-course aid stations provide water, Tailwind, GU packets, salty and sweet snack options, bars, oranges, bananas, Coke, and electrolytes. Also basic first-aid supplies, an evacuation vehicle, and communication capability.

Pacers

Pacers will be present for the Marathon and Half Marathon. Refer to the event schedule for specific pacer target times per start wave and for Pacerflaggen details.

What is the race route like?

The course takes runners through narrow Moab canyons with steep climbs, desert singletrack, slickrock, and rim-top views, featuring highlights like Hunter Canyon Rim Trail, Kane Creek Drainage, and the iconic ‘Scorched Earth Wall.’

What is included in the registration fee?

Chip timing, official race T-shirt, goodie bag, full on-course aid stations with water and snacks, post-race soup and quesadillas, finishers medal and mug, and awards ceremony.

Do I need to bring my own water?

Aid stations are stocked with water and sports drinks, but due to the remote course you are encouraged to carry additional water if you expect to need it.
