About

Neveresting Hafjell is a mountain endurance challenge on the alpine slope between the gondola at Skitorget and the gondolatop. Participants repeatedly ascend on foot and descend by gondola over 12 or 36 hours, with the main goal of climbing Mount Everest (15 laps) — every finisher receives a participant medal.

Catering & aid stations

Snacks, fruit, and water available throughout the event. A kettle is available 24/7 for participants to heat their own food. Dinner and prize ceremony on Saturday evening. No food included except Saturday dinner.

Pacers

Pacemakers are announced for the event; target times per start wave and pacer flag guidance are provided on the race day schedule to help participants pace their laps.

Where does Neveresting take place Hafjell?

Neveresting Hafjell takes place on the alpine slope of Hafjell alpine center between the gondola at Skitorget and the gondolatop.

What does it mean that I have 12/36 hours?

The event itself will be held from 07:00 on Friday 7 June to 19:00 on Saturday 8 June for those who will walk 36 hours, and from 07:00 on 8 June to 19:00 on Saturday 8 June for those who will walk 12 hours. During this time (these 12/36 hours) it is up to you to perform what you can and complete as many laps as you can. Just because you have 12 or 36 hours doesn't mean you have to walk constantly for 12 or 36 hours. If you want to go 3 laps, take a break, go 5 laps, sleep a little, etc., then it is entirely up to you. If you want to complete 15 rounds right away, that's fine.You control these 12 or 36 hours as you wish. Remember to take time to eat and drink well throughout the event! What is the focus, walking for 12/36 hours or climbing Mount Everest? The focus and the best goal during Neveresting is to climb Mount Everest in 15 laps. You can choose whether you want to do more laps within the 12/36 hours after climbing Mount Everest. In other words: The main focus is to climb Mount Everest. Everyone who participates in Neveresting will be awarded this year's participant medal.

What is included in the ticket?

But there are good opportunities to buy simple food, restaurant food or heat up your own food during the entire event. Equipment for overnight stays. All participants are assigned a tent site in Basecamp where they can set up their overnight equipment. Alternatively, it is possible to book accommodation at Favn Mountain Village.

Maximum time

Neveresting ends on Saturday at 19.00. The last boarding on the gondola top is at 18.15. We have checkpoints with timing at the start, in the middle of the hill and at the top. It is the last checkpoint you pass before 12/36 hours have passed that will be your recorded altitude meters.

In case of cancellation of the event

If for some reason we have to cancel the event Neveresting, the entire event will be moved to a later date and all tickets will be transferred to the new date. If we are unable to carry out the event after several moves, participants will be refunded the fee for their ticket.

Selling a ticket

If you are not able to start after you have purchased a ticket, you must choose how to resell this ticket. If you sell your ticket, you must send an email to chister@alpinco.no so that we can change the name on the ticket.
