Over the Hump (OTH) is Orange County’s premier midweek mountain bike race series — a welcoming, community-driven event that makes racing fun for everyone from first-time riders to seasoned competitors. Founded in 2009 with two sold-out races, OTH quickly grew into a weekly phenomenon. By 2010 our 12-week series drew 1,500 racers, and by 2012 more than 2,500 riders crossed the finish line. Races are held Tuesday evenings at Irvine Lake, offering a scenic, spectator-friendly course that passes the staging area multiple times each lap.
