About

A tough, self-navigated mountain trail event following a classic section of the Pennine Way across the Cumbrian/Derbyshire Pennines, from Bowlees to Alston and back, featuring remote high moorland, waterfalls and iconic ridgelines.

Catering & aid stations

Hot and cold drinks at two aid stations en route; tea, coffee and a tray bake at the finish in Alston village hall.

Pacers

The event uses time windows and designated route markers rather than pacers — follow the permanent Pennine Way markers (nine total) and marshals at key points. 'Early' start is 08:00 for runners expecting over 11 hours; 'Standard' start is 09:00. Self-navigation is the primary method; no electronic timing or formal pace groups are provided.
