Arizona’s premier distance race, returning for a second year with a fast Boston-qualifying marathon, a scenic half marathon, and a 10K — all on a downtown Phoenix course with desert views and a finish near Papago Park.
12 aid stations on the marathon course, 7 on the half, and 4 on the 10K. Each station offers Gatorade Endurance and water, with additional carbs-fueled energy gels, fruit, and medical support available. Discard trash and shed clothing close to stations for charity collection.
Pacers will lead both the marathon and half marathon using a Smart Pacing strategy that adjusts effort by course elevation. Marathon pacers will target paces from 3:10 down to 6:33 per mile; half marathon pacers from 1:25 down to 6:20 per mile. All participants receive a pace-guide wristband at the expo.
Monthly averages based on historical data (2000–present).
You may ride the bus or be dropped off at the start lines; no parking is available at the start lines. For safety and timely starts, park or use public transport to Phoenix Municipal Stadium and board the bus there. Carpool to reduce congestion.
