An eco-friendly, all-abilities destination running event on Sunday 22 February 2026, featuring a fast, flat multi-loop marathon and half marathon certified by AIMs, plus a 10km, 5km and 1.5km event, showcasing Port Fairy’s coastal scenery, historic wharf and pristine beaches.
On-course drink stations with water (and in hot weather extra mini drink stations). Participants may send clearly labeled drink bottles to specific drink stations for delivery during the event. Stations are located at: 1) Gipps St (near Regent Street) — 0.2, 10.8, 21.4, 32.0 km; 2) Gipps St (near Regent Street) — 3.9, 14.5, 25.1, 35.7 km; 3) Ocean Dve (Near corner of James St) — 6.3, 16.9, 27.5, 38.1 km; 4) Ocean Dve (Near corner of James St) — 8.6, 19.2, 29.8, 40.4 km; Finish line refreshment station.
Pacemakers will be provided for Marathon and Half Marathon divisions. Marathon pace groups: 3:00/10/20/30/40/50 min per km, 4:00/10/20/30 min per km, 5:00 min per km. Half Marathon pace groups: 1:30/35/40/45/50/55 min per km, 2:00/05/10/15/30 min per km. Pacers will run with designated groups to help runners maintain target times.

Personalised race bib with official recorded time (recorded by Tomato Timing) Access to water stations around the course Marathon runners will receive a gold coloured metal medallion and a silver metal medallion for the half marathon. All other participants will receive a sustainable medallion created from recycled materials. Certificate of completion emailed following the race Traffic management until 1pm (Marathon and 21km course) Insurance First Aid and amenities What merchandise will be available?
Biodegradable wooden participation medals with biodegradable bamboo lanyards will be provided at the finish line for collection. Offsetting carbon emissions by partnering with the ‘Friends of the Rail Trail’ to plant over 350 trees between Port Fairy and Warrnambool. Biodegradable cups provided at drink stations. Participant water bottles taken to all drink stations. Wooden signs are used around the course, no new plastic markers bought, all plastic on course on loan from local sporting clubs and returned after the event. Many other materials used to support the event (e.g. tables, chairs, eskys, marquees) are borrowed and returned or recycled from other uses. Limited printed promotional material.
