About
The mission of the Human Rights Advisory Committee (HRAC) is to provide guidance to the Town of Pound Ridge on diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies and policies that improve outcomes for marginalized populations and the community at-large. The Committee hosts events that support cultural understanding, mutual respect, and inclusivity and assists the Town of Pound Ridge in strengthening relationships with local organizations, among other tasks.
Pacers
Pacemakers will be present for the 5K Road Race and Fun Run to guide runners with target split times per start wave. Pacers display flags to help participants maintain their desired pace and stay on track throughout the course.

What is Pride Month?
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) Pride Month is currently celebrated each year in the month of June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan. While the last Sunday in June was initially celebrated as “Gay Pride Day,” the day soon grew to encompass a month-long series of events in major cities across the nation. Today, celebrations include pride parades, picnics, parties, workshops, and concerts, and LGBTQ+ Pride Month events attract millions of participants around the world. The purpose of the commemorative month is to recognize the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally. What is the colored powder made of and is it safe?
The colored powder is a natural blend of corn starch and natural colorants so everyone can join in on the festivities. The powders are finely-ground for silky softness, and their non-staining properties make them ideal for powder fights. For removal of powder from clothes, add a splash of white vinegar to your washing machine. The sooner, the better!
