The Race for Research, presented by the University of Colorado Cancer Center and UCHealth, is a 5K fundraising run/walk supporting cancer research and patient services. FAQ

How do I register?

Register online through the Race 4 Research website up to August 15, 2026. Onsite registration opens at Washington Park at 8:00 am; the race starts at 9:00 am.

How do I get my race bib and t-shirt?

Pick up your race bib and t-shirt on-site prior to the race start. Plan to arrive early and visit the registration tent near the start line.

Can I pay with a credit card?

Yes. Payment can be made by credit or debit card when registering online or on the morning of the race.

Where can I park?

Parking is available in the South High School parking lot at Louisiana and Franklin, and along side streets. No parking is allowed inside Washington Park unless you have an event pass.

Is handicapped parking available?

Yes. Please make arrangements with the Race 4 Research event planners in advance by emailing cancerleaguer4r@gmail.com.

Is the race timed?

Yes. A timing chip is provided in your race bib. Results are posted online after the race, and live results may be available via the live.sportshive.com event page.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome on the race route.
