About
This well-known event commenced in 1984 as the Lake Macquarie Half Marathon. In 2010, the event was renamed the ‘Lake Macquarie Running Festival’ to embrace the growing nature of the event, which was expanded to include a 10.5km Fun Run and 4km Kids Scamper. It then adopted the name given by the local runners and became the Lake Mac Run. The 2024 event celebrates its 40-year anniversary event, making it one of Australia’s oldest running events.
Catering & aid stations
Water and isotonic drinks provided at every drink station along the course. Finisher rewards include water stations and fruit available for finishers.
Pacers
Pacer flags may be present, providing predicted finish times for different pace groups, which helps runners stay on track with their goals.
