A 5K community fun run/walk through historic Lancaster, now in its 50th year with over $27,000 in prize money. The event features multiple award categories, course-record incentives, and a family-friendly Fun Run. Celebrate Lancaster’s running heritage and enjoy downtown festivities.

Pacers

Pacemakers will be present for the Red Rose Run 5K with target split times displayed by start wave on the event day. Pacers help runners maintain goal pace and are identifiable by vests; their presence is confirmed on the day’s schedule at the course and via the event app.

Who is eligible for awards and course-record incentives?

Overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for Male & Female, plus Non-binary categories. Selecting non-binary at registration means you are not eligible for awards. Record incentives apply to first place male and female if they break the current course record (men 23:37.0, women 27:17.0), with a $1,776 prize.

What is included in the entry fee?

Entry fee includes participation in the Red Rose Run 5K and Kids Fun Run, event T-shirt, medal (finishers), and access to post-race celebrations and sponsor exhibits.

Where can I pick up my race packet and what are the start times?

Race packets and welcome center hours are available at the Welcome Center (downtown Lancaster). The 5K starts at 9:00 AM; the Kids Fun Run starts at 9:30 AM on June 6, 2026.
