About

Fall trail race series with 4‑mile and 8‑mile options on dirt trails and park roads; includes awards, post‑race hot soup and cider, and requires 200 sq in of orange clothing per RI DEM mandate.

Catering & aid stations

Hot soup, food, and cider are served post‑race for all participants.

Pacers

Pacer groups align with start waves shown on the schedule (8:30 am check‑in/bib pick‑up; races start at 10:00 am). Pacers are expected to maintain target per‑wave times and will be identified by Pacer flagging on course; runners should stay with their assigned wave and follow pacers for pacing and support.

FAQ

What is the race cutoff time?

The 8‑mile course has a 2‑hour cutoff (15 min/mile pace); beyond this time support, timing, and food cannot be guaranteed.

What should I wear?

Each participant and volunteer must wear at least 200 square inches of orange. No runners or walkers will be allowed without it per State of RI DEM mandate.

Are walkers allowed?

Walkers are welcome but are asked to choose the shorter 4‑mile course in consideration of volunteers’ time.

What are the age categories for awards?

8‑mile: awards to top M/F overall and 1‑deep per age group (13 and under; 14–19; 20–29; 30–39; 40–49; 50–59; 60–69; 70–79; 80+). 4‑mile: awards to top M/F overall and 1‑deep (19 and under; 20–39; 40–49; 50–59; 60–69; 70–79; 80+).
