About

A remote endurance race in central Idaho offering 108K, 55K, and 32K options along the Salmon River, set in the Frank Church Wilderness with mountain climbs, creeks, and mining ghost towns.

Catering & aid stations

Aid stations offer water, Tailwind, bananas, oranges, cantaloupe, watermelon, pretzels, potato chips, gummy bears, bread with peanut butter and jelly, Coke/Pepsi/Sprite/Ginger Ale, granola bars, M&Ms, cookies, potatoes, tortillas/quesadillas, and Otter Pops (108K select stations).

Pacers

Pacer support is available for 108K runners starting at Bayhorse Lake (Mile 38.5) through to the finish; pacers must check in at aid stations and may not provide outside assistance beyond allowed zones.

FAQ

Can I switch distances or get a refund?

Yes, you may switch race distances through June 1, 2026 via Ultrasignup. Refunds: full refund less $20 until May 1; 50% refund between May 1 and June 1; no refunds after June 1 unless a waitlist entry is accepted (50% refund before registration closes).

What are the cutoffs and start times?

Start times: 108K at 5:00 am, 55K at 6:30 am, 32K at 8:30 am (approx). 108K segment cutoffs: Bayhorse 10.5h (3:30 pm), Bayhorse Lake 13h (6:00 pm), Squaw Creek 16h (9:00 pm), Bruno Cabin 19h (12:40 am), Custer Motorway 21h (2:00 am), Finish 22h (3:00 am).

Are crews and pacers allowed?

Crews are welcome at all aid stations and may run the last mile from Challis City Park to the finish. Pacers are allowed for 108K only and must check in at aid stations; they may not pace or provide support outside designated zones.
