Running in the clouds — a mountain trail experience in the Rodna Mountains with challenging routes, alpine scenery, rhododendrons and chamois. The event offers multiple trail options for varying skill levels.

Catering & aid stations

Hydration and feeding stations, first aid, and goulash at the finish; no disposable cups provided — bring your own container.

Pacers

Pacemakers will be announced on the race day start program (Renntag für Laufende). Refer to the start wave schedule and pacer flags at the event for target times and pacers.

FAQ

Who can participate in the Puzdrelor Trail?

The Puzdrelor Trail is open to experienced, professional runners aged 18–60+. Due to difficulty, the organizers may adjust checkpoints and timing; participants must follow official instructions and complete pre-registration.

What equipment is mandatory for the Puzdrelor Trail?

Mandatory gear includes: 0.33/0.5L flask with liquid, gels/energy chews, backpack/belt pouch, long trousers or knee-length trousers with knee-high socks, long-sleeve blouse or short-sleeve with arm warmers, rain/wind jacket, survival foil, hat or tubular scarf, trail running shoes, and race number. Lack of wind/rain jacket and survival foil results in disqualification.

When does registration open and close for the 2024 edition?

Pre-registration for the 2024 Puzdrelor Trail was open until 19 June 2023. Fees varied by deadline: 100 lei (until 31 Dec), 120 lei (until 14 June), and 300 lei (from 15 June to event). Check the official site for the next edition’s dates.
