About

Søndersøløbet is Denmark’s oldest fun run, held in Viborg. It is a popular family and community event offering multiple distances from a one‑mile fun run to a half‑marathon, with the main race attracting up to 5000 participants.

Catering & aid stations

Main event areas have food and drink stands with juice, water, bananas, and light snacks. A full snack and meal service is available for participants at the restaurant at Golf Hotel Viborg.

Pacers

Pacers are provided for the Hovedløb and Firmadyst to help runners achieve target finish times. On the race day, pacer groups will be announced at the start corrals and marked with pacer bibs and flags. Their role is to help runners maintain the target split pace; they will drop back or peel off as needed to keep the advertised pace. Pacers for 2026 will be announced closer to event day.
