Trail in Romania, Timisoara

About

An IAU-certified ultra‑running event held in Timișoara, Romania, featuring 6h, 12h, 24h individual trials and a 12h relay on a 1222.75m night‑lit loop in Ion Creangă Children’s Park. The race emphasizes self‑discovery, mental strength, and community, with support stations, on‑site storage, and massage.

Catering & aid stations

Two hydration/refreshment points on the loop provide water, glucose, electrolytes, fruit, pretzels, and chocolate. Hot meals are served twice per day at the camp area.

Pacers

Pacemakers are not used in S24H events; the races are self‑paced. During the race days, target times per start wave are provided at the start/finish area (e.g., for 12h and 24h events). Runners may run, walk, or take short breaks without pacers, and support team members may not provide aid outside designated zones.

FAQ

Do I need a medical certificate to register?

Yes. A medical certificate dated no more than one month before the race (for the 2026 edition, by 23 April 2026) confirming you are fit for the selected trial must be handed to organizers upon kit pickup.

What are the age requirements?

You must be at least 18 years old on the race start date. Runners under 18 require written parental consent and prior organizer approval.

Are walking sticks allowed?

No. Walking sticks are not permitted. Use of forbidden equipment leads to disqualification.

Can I leave and re‑enter the course?

You must hand your chip and bib at the timing table to leave; after leaving you cannot rejoin the race. Short breaks are allowed at the same point without announcing.

How are winners determined?

The winner is the runner/relay covering the most laps within the fixed time. Ties are broken by most laps completed in the last 3 hours.
