About

A flat, fast 2-mile course through Tell City’s historic downtown and a challenging 6-mile route with hills and scenic outskirts—both finishing in front of St. Paul’s Church.

Water and aid stations available at each mile on both the 2-mile and 6-mile courses.

Pacers

Pacemakers will be present for the 6-mile and 2-mile races with target start waves listed on the race-day schedule (Renntag für Laufende). Pacers help maintain even pacing and will display identifying flags; early effort groups use staggered starts.

Where does the race start?

The race starts on the 800 block of 7th street in Tell City.

How does registration work?

Online registration is through RunSignUp. Print/mail or in-person registration at Everbody’s is also available until August 8; race-day registration opens by 7:30 AM at City Hall Park.

Is there early packet pickup?

Packets are available Friday 5:30–7:00 PM at St. Paul’s Church and Saturday morning at the race.

What's the course like?

2-mile: flat and fast through downtown Tell City. 6-mile: starts fast in downtown, then heads to the hills before returning over the last 2 miles. Course maps and GPX are available online.

Are shirts guaranteed?

Yes—all runners receive a shirt. Pre-registered runners are guaranteed race-day pickup; late registrants must arrange pickup.

Is there water on the course?

Yes, each mile has a water stop with plenty of liquids on both the 2-mile and 6-mile courses.

Is there a time limit for walkers on the 6-mile?

The 6-mile course closes promptly at 10:00 AM. Walkers needing more time should contact the race director in advance.

Are there awards?

Top 3 finishers in each category receive Hauenstein Fudge; overall men’s and women’s winners of the 2-mile and 6-mile races also receive an award.

Kids fun run details?

Kids aged 7 and under run a two-block (.25 mi) course starting at Frostop on Main Street and finishing under the banner at City Hall. All kids receive a participation ribbon and it’s free.
