When does registration open and how can I sign up?

Registration opens on Saturday, 9 May 2026 at 00:00 on the official website (seeueberquerung-luzern.ch/anmeldung) and runs on a first-come, first-served basis up to 600 participants. You must register online—no on-site registration is available.

What are the age categories and entry fees?

Adults aged 16+: CHF 40.00; Youth aged 12–15: CHF 25.00. Prices are listed in CHF and can be paid in EUR at checkout where indicated.

What is included in the entry fee?

Entry includes access to both Strandbad Lido and Strandbad Tribschen, luggage transport between the two beaches, organization of the secure crossing, timing chip, compulsory swimming cap, a towel at the finish, and catering at Strandbad Tribschen. Supporters at Tribschen receive 2 complimentary entries; additional supporters pay CHF 5 at the gate.

What are the race rules and safety measures?

The swim is 1.1 km from Lido to Tribschen. You must complete within 45 minutes. The event uses timing chips, is subject to weather and safety decisions by SLRG Luzern, and requires attendance at a mandatory safety briefing. No wetsuits or floating aids are allowed; only permitted swimming aids are transparent soft swim buoys with short tethers.

What should I bring and how do I check in?

Bring a valid photo ID for check-in, a swimming cap (provided or compulsory), and appropriate swimwear. Check-in starts at 09:00, with the final check-in at 10:15; the baggage drop is until 10:50. The event starts at 11:45 with a safety briefing at 11:15.
