Seneca 7 Relay
124 km
Start: Apr 27, 01:45 AM
A 7-person, 77.7-mile counter-clockwise relay around Seneca Lake starting and ending in Geneva, NY, featuring lakeside views, vineyard stops, a waterfall in Hector, and passage through historic State Parks.
Aid stations offer water, sport-drink, and fruit (from Eddydale Farms). No alcohol during the race. On-course portajohns at start, finish, and aid stations.
Pacemaker information is provided at registration and on the Renntag schedule; target times per start wave are posted at the event. Pacers must respect designated passing zones and follow course rules.
Monthly averages based on historical data (2000–present).
Each relay must have exactly 7 registered team members with waivers signed by March 31. All members must be present at the start. If a runner is injured, remaining relay members may fill additional legs but must keep the original leg sequence; a slap bracelet baton and one chipped BIB per team are required.
Teams receive target times for each exchange; exceeding your projected pace by more than 10% results from holding at Glenora and possible time penalties at Bonavista, and possible disqualification from category awards. Teams must reach exchange points by posted cutoffs or return to vehicle. Course cutoff is 8:00.
Male teams: at least 5 males, up to two females or non-binary. Female teams: all 7 must identify as female. Mixed teams: any gender combination outside a male or female team ( up to two females). One vehicle per team required; only one vehicle may be at the start/finish area.
No consumption of alcohol during the race at any time. Support partnering vineyards by purchasing a case if desired. Littering is prohibited; pack it out. Portajohns are provided at start, finish, and aid stations.
