About

Did you know? SHE RUNS Grand Rapids (formerly Gazelle Girl) was founded in 2012 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Title IX- a key ruling that, among many other educational equity initiatives, ruled that women and girls have a right to equal access in sport. This ruling opened the door for many women and girls to participate on school teams- including running!

Pacers

SHE RUNS Grand Rapids features pacemakers on each distance to help runners achieve their target times in a supportive, women-focused environment. Pacers set steady, encouraging paces for each start wave—designed to keep runners comfortable and confident mile after mile. Running alongside pacers helps you maintain rhythm, stay motivated, and finish strong in this community-powered, all-women atmosphere.
