About

Skatås sjöar is a swimrun in the Delsjö area and Knipeflågsberg nature reserve just outside Gothenburg, featuring two- and three-lake courses with run and swim sections through scenic ridges and lakes. The event emphasizes safety, environmental care, and accessibility for newcomers.

Catering & aid stations

Post-race food includes baguettes and drinks for all finishers. There are sales of food and coffee/fika on site. Multiple water and sport-drink stations (Umara) are placed along the course; at least two stations offer raisins and other sweets.

Pacers

Pacers set target times per start wave displayed on the schedule (Renntag för Laufende). All pacers must wear the provided yellow pacer flag; when paired, partners must stay within 10 m on run sections and not be more than 50 m apart on swims. Pacers should draft behind their paired runner where safe and maintain a steady, supportive pace. No passing the pacer is allowed. Pacers remove their flag once the paired runner has completed the event.

FAQ

Who can participate in the six-lake individual class?

Open to all individuals; if under 18 you must be able to swim 1000 m straight and have a written guardian approval. Everyone must have mandatory equipment (see below).

What is mandatory equipment for all participants?

All participants must wear a swim cap, a whistle (flabbspip), and either a flotation aid (dolme/calf sleeves) or a wetsuit (neoprenhullor). Swimrun-specific shoes and a hydration pack/bottle are strongly recommended.

How do late registrations work?

You can register on race day at Delsjöbadet 9:00–10:30 (up to 45 minutes before start) paying in cash or via Swish. After the start, later sign-ups are handled on site.

Are teams required to stay together?

Yes: in two-person teams both must stay within 10 m on run sections and no more than 50 m apart in water. You may be separated temporarily at transitions but must rejoin promptly.

What happens if the course time limit is reached?

On the six-lake course a rope is withdrawn after 3 hours; teams must not be in the water after the rope is pulled. Participants may drop out and will be assisted off the course.

Is this event insured?

Participation is at your own risk. Event organizers recommend personal insurance.

Can I use my own flotation aid?

Yes, you may use your own functional flotation aid in addition to or instead of the provided ones, provided it complies with safety rules.

Are pets allowed?

No, pets are not permitted on the course for safety and environmental reasons.
