About
An annual celebration of the founding of Czechoslovakia held on October 28th, organized by the Czech Sokol Community. The event features races for adults and children along the Haná river, with awards and a starter pack including a medal.

How do I register for the run?
Registration is open until October 25, 2026, via the online form on www.behrepubliky.cz or directly at www.behrepublikyid.cz. The entry fee is non-refundable but can be transferred to another person for free until October 15, 2026 (same location). On-site registration is available at some locations.
How long is the run and what is the route?
The main race route usually measures between 3 and 12 km and is determined by the local organizer — the specific track depends on the location. Check your specific race location for the map.
Can children run as well?
Yes, there are routes for children. Only children under 15 years of age (birth years 2012 and later) can register for children's tracks.
Will childcare be provided?
Official childcare is not provided. Conditions may differ at individual locations; please check the event page for your chosen location.
What happens if the run cannot be organized due to force majeure?
If the run cannot be organized at a certain location, it will likely take the form of an 'open start' — you will be able to run the track individually and will not lose your starter pack.
Is the entry fee refundable?
According to the terms and conditions, the entry fee is non-refundable. You can transfer your registration to another person for free until October 15, 2026 (only within the same location).
What does the starter pack contain?
The starter pack includes a starting number, cheek stickers, a medal, water, and gifts from Sokol and partners.
Where can I buy a Sokolský běh republiky T-shirt?
For the races, the T-shirt can only be ordered online as an 'additional service' in your account at www.behrepublikyid.cz. If you forgot to add it during registration, you can purchase it via your profile.
Will there be refreshment stations on the track?
Refreshments for participants will be served at the finish line and in the event's base area. This always depends on the local organizer.
