A sightsseeing city event through Essen combining walking and running, with highlights at notable and hidden spots across the city. Participants choose between running or hiking at their own pace, with waves starting every 10 minutes.

Sorbet and refreshments available at the finish; drinks and snacks along the route.

Pacers will be present on course with numbered Pacerflaggen matching start wave times listed on the Renntag/finish scheduling: waves start at 10:00, 10:10, 10:20, 10:30, 10:40, 10:50, 11:00, 11:10 (local times on race day).
