A mass participation cycling event in Dubai offering multiple distances from 1 km Mini Movers up to the 92 km main race, with build-up rides, family-friendly options, and a UCI Gran Fondo World Championships qualifier on the 92 km route.
Pace groups are seeded on the day: Front Group (Elite Invitational), Group 1 Elite Seeded, and remaining riders placed in Group 7–9 with self-seeding options. Riders must qualify by speed; a valid UCI license verified by the UAE Cycling Federation is required for Elite groups.
Monthly averages based on historical data (2000–present).
Photos are typically available via the event app and the gallery page at https://www.cyclechallenge.ae/gallery; official race photos are released post-event on the site and social channels.
No. The event is open to all registered riders, but the Main Event (92 km) requires a minimum average speed of 26 km/h. Build-up rides are offered to help improve fitness and seeding.
Age categories align with UCI Gran Fondo qualifying rules: a rider’s age on December 31, 2026, determines the category for the Main Event, Build-Up Rides, Family Fun Ride, and Junior Rides.
Race pack collection is at Spinneys HQ, Meydan, on Thursday 12 and Friday 13 February 2026 (12:00–20:00), and Saturday 14 February at the Al Forsan Park registration tent (09:00–18:00). Minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian with ID.
Yes. From Build-Up Ride 2 (26 October 2025) onward, the last 1 km of each Build-Up Ride is a Neutral Zone. In case of an incident within that zone, affected riders receive the last bunch’s time plus a 1 min 12 sec penalty (equivalent to 50 km/h for 1 km).
