The marathon and half marathon course will close at 1:00 p.m., 5 ½ hours from the start time, a marathon pace of about 12:30 minutes per mile. We strictly enforce this policy. Race services, aid stations and traffic control will not be provided on the course after 5 ½ hours. An early start is not available. No. Due to other runners and the county roads being open to local traffic we do not allow strollers or dogs on the courses.
No. Due to safety concerns and no parking available, we strongly advise against driving yourself to the full start.
A friend or relative can pick up your packet, but they must have your e-mail confirmation. There will be no race day packet pick-up. No exceptions.
We strongly advise against it. The roads are technically open to traffic, but we prefer there to be no bikes on the course. For safety considerations, we ask that everyone leave their bikes at home.
Spectating from the course is not allowed due the course traveling along RCR 129 which does not have sidewalks or pullouts and private driveways. If your friends and family would like to be on course, we are in need of aid station volunteers. Aid stations are in designated safe areas and approved areas by the County Commissioners. There are many opportunities for your friends and family to volunteer at these stations and still see you cross the finish line. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, click here.
The half and full course are challenging with many rolling hills, and the altitude does increase difficulty if you aren't used to it. Be sure to check out the course maps and elevation profiles for more info.
