Stratford’s DIRTIEST Day on the Beach — a family-friendly 5K obstacle run/walk held at Short Beach in September, with 18+ obstacles and all proceeds benefiting Sterling Community Center programs and services.

When and where is the Sterling Down & Dirty 5k?
It takes place on September 12, 2026 at Stratford Short Beach (1 Dorne Dr, Stratford, CT). Registration opens for wave starts from 8:30 am, with the last wave at 10:30 am.
Who is the event for and what proceeds support?
The event is family-friendly and open to all fitness levels. All proceeds benefit Sterling Community Center programs and the Resource Connection Program.
Can I join a team or fundraise individually?
Yes — you can register as a Solo, create or join a Team (General, Sterling Spirit, School, or Corporate), and track individual and team fundraising milestones.
What if I need to change or cancel my registration?
Contact the organizers via the registration help page or call (203) 378-2606 during House Hours (Mon–Fri 9:00 am–6:00 pm, Sat 9:00 am–1:00).
Are there volunteer and sponsorship opportunities?
