FAQ

Do I need racing experience or an ultra background?

No — this is widely recognised as the ideal first-time ultra. 'Only' 1,800m of climbing, 7 checkpoints with food, free guided training runs, and a supportive community make it accessible.

What if the course needs to change due to fire or weather?

Rapid Ascent reserves the right to change or reroute the course. Any changes will be communicated via SMS during registration (Friday evening), on the race noticeboard at the competitor briefing, and at checkpoints on race day.

Are there cut-off times?

Yes — each leg has a cut-off. All 100km runners must depart CP2 by published start time + 4h45m, CP4 by +9h, and CP6 by +14h15m. 50km runners have three start waves with corresponding time windows; your race clock starts on the mats.

What is the finish line gong and stein?

Cross the finish line gong to claim your engraved 1lt BELLS stein (100km solo finishers) or 500ml ADDIS stein (50km finishers; times benchmarks apply). Medals for all, cash prizes for record breakers, and finisher credits for the 2026 Club Challenge.
