A long-distance triathlon with one of the most spectacular courses in the world, starting in the south of Switzerland and leading over three Alpine passes into the heart of Switzerland, finishing at the foot of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

Supporters provide support at designated zones; compulsory race manual and document requirements apply.

Pacers

Pacemaker and target times per start wave are defined in the race manual and on the Renntag schedule for runners. Pacers must follow compulsory routes and timing rules; see official manual for details.

When is the next SWISSMAN?

The next SWISSMAN takes place on 20 June 2026.

How can I register?

Registration opens on 1 November for 10 days; entries are drawn by lottery. X-Points members can qualify with enough points.

What do I need to register?

Anyone can register for the SWISSMAN lottery; no proof of performance is required, but you must be aware of the challenges.

What is allowed for swimming?

All cold protection aids are allowed for swimming: neoprene suit, neoprene shoes, cap, and vest. Neoprene gloves are prohibited. The red swimming buoy is mandatory.

Are walking sticks allowed during the run?

No, walking sticks are not allowed during the entire running section, including the final ascent from Grindelwald to Little Scheidegg.

Can I transfer my SWISSMAN start place to next year?

No, start places cannot be transferred to another year.

Can my supporter change things for me during the race?

The person supporting you during the final ascent does not have to be the official supporter who signed the declaration, but they take on the responsibility for your support. The emergency number you register must be reachable all day.
