FAQ

WHO SHOULD I SEE FOR MY PARTICULAR ISSUE?

When we get asked this question, we like to turn it back to you: What have you tried in the past, and was it successful? If a particular therapy has helped in the past, it’s likely to be a great choice for you now. If it’s a new issue or if past treatment was not that helpful, we’d be happy to suggest a therapist who we think is the best choice for you. We’ll consider your specific injury, schedule, and preference for male/female if you have one. If we ever feel that you’d be better served to see a different provider, we’ll tell you.

HOW LONG WILL MY APPOINTMENT BE?

This will vary from service to service, but here’s a quick breakdown:Physiotherapy: First visit: 45-mins Follow-ups: 30-minsRegistered Massage Therapy: Your choice! But for your first visit, we generally recommend at least 45-mins, to allow for some assessment time.Acupuncture: First Visit: 75-mins Follow ups: 60- or 30-mins (depending on treatment plan)Chiropractic: First visit: 45-mins Follow ups: 30-minsKinesiology: First visit: 60-mins Follow ups: 60 or 30- mins (depending on exercise plan)Naturopathic: First visit: 60-mins Follow ups: can vary from 15 to 60- mins depending on the nature of the visit.

ARE THE EXERCISE CLASSES RIGHT FOR ME?

We have something for almost everyone. Our small class sizes are always customized to the participants in them. We have classes for back strength, for people with injuries, and for seniors. If you’re looking for something that’s more about sweating and getting a good workout, we do that too!

DO I NEED TO BRING OR WEAR ANYTHING SPECIFIC TO MY APPOINTMENT?

You'll generally want to wear loose-fitting clothing that you can move easily and comfortably in. You’ll also want to make sure that the therapist can access whichever body part is causing you pain or discomfort (e.g. knee pain: wear/bring shorts; shoulder pain: wear/bring a tank top). If you’re coming to see Dr. Marita, our Naturopathic Doctor, feel free to bring along any recent bloodwork or testing that you might have as this always helps paint a bigger picture for us. But if you don’t have any, then that’s fine too!

HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

Just give us a call or check out our online booking site.

This is designed to facilitate ICBC patients with legal representation to get access to timely rehabilitation services. What we need to get started:An ICBC claim numberA current referral from a doctor for the therapy requiredA signed direction to pay form, which we will provide you with at your first appointment

DO I NEED A REFERRAL?

WHAT MAKES TALL TREE DIFFERENT?

Well, at the risk of tooting our own horn, we’re pretty convinced we have the best, most qualified clinicians around. Our clinicians hold themselves to the highest standard of care, using evidence-based and cutting-edge techniques, continually pursuing ongoing education and professional development, and fostering a culture of education and learning. We are the most multidisciplinary clinic in BC. Physical, psychological, functional, and wellness. Whatever you need, we can help. Longer treatment times that are entirely one-on-one mean that your health professional is giving you 100% of their attention and care. There is no bouncing between multiple patients, and you won’t be abandoned to lay alone with a machine buzzing on you. As a bonus, the clinics are beautiful spaces. So much so that we’ve won a couple of awards! This is healthcare the way it should be done.
