About

A 50K trail race on Marin County’s iconic trails including the Coastal, Miwok, Matt Davis and Dipsea, starting and finishing at Santos Meadow near Muir Woods with around 6,600 ft of elevation gain.

Catering & aid stations

On-course aid stations offer water, soda, GU Energy gels, Skratch Energy hydration, bananas, fruit, PB&J, chips and other snacks. It is a cup-free race—runners must carry their own collapsible cup or drinking device.

Pacers

The race features pace bands for target times at each start wave (see Renntag aid station details). Pacers are provided for selected target times to help runners maintain goal pace; be aware of pacers and Pacerflaggen at the start corrals.

What is the race date and check-in time?

Race day is Saturday, August 15th, 2026. Check-in is 6:00 AM–6:45 AM at Santos Meadow.

Are there aid stations and what can I expect?

Yes—stations provide water, soda, GU gels, Skratch hydration, bananas, fruit, PB&J, chips and other snacks. This is a cup-free race so bring your own drinking device.

What is the prize money and age group awards?

Total purse is $10,000 with $2,500/$1,500/$1,000 for 1st/2nd/3rd overall each gender. Age group awards (non-monetary) are given for divisions 19 & under, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70–79, and 80–89.

Can I drop out and is crewing allowed?

If you drop out, notify a race official or aid station captain. Crewing is allowed at Rodeo Beach, Tennessee Valley Aid Station, and Stinson Aid Station; it is not permitted at Highway One Crossing or Pantoll Parking Lot due to permit restrictions.
