Join the Trail Animals Running Club for the TARCtic Frozen Yeti at Hale Education — a 15- or 30-hour trail race on challenging loops with on-course aid stations and a true leave-no-trace ethos. The event supports food donations and emphasizes safety and preparation in winter conditions.

Catering & aid stations

Aid stations at start/finish of each loop every 5 miles offer Hyle Hydration, soda, water, ice, Swedish Fish, Sour Patch Kids, Twizzlers, assorted candy, cookies, cheese quesadillas, hot broth, potato chips, peanut butter, bananas, pickles, ramen, and more. No disposable cups available — bring your own hydration system. Composting provided at aid stations.

FAQ

Is this a cupless race?

Yes — you must bring your own hydration system; no disposable cups, bowls, or utensils are provided.

Are there drop bags?

Yes, two drop bags per participant are allowed at the lodge (one inside, one outside). Label with your BIB NUMBER and NAME.

What are the cutoff times?

15-hour race: last loop begins cutoff at 1:00 PM and course closes at 2:00 PM on Sunday. 30-hour race: final loop cutoff is 1:00 PM Sunday; course closes at 2:00 PM Sunday. 30-hour participants must complete at least 30 miles for a finisher.

Is there parking at Hale Education?

The event uses Hale Education in Westwood, Massachusetts. Check the registration page for suggested parking and access instructions.
