Why is the organiser’s time different from my Garmin / Strava?

Our official time is Chip time (Net time) — from the moment you cross the start mat to when you cross the finish mat. The other times you might see: Gun time: from the start gun (typically longer than chip time for later waves). Moving time on a personal watch: excludes time spent stopped — shorter than chip time. Elapsed time on a personal watch: similar to chip time. Only the Chip time recorded by the timing mats counts as the official result for rankings.
