About

A multi-stage trail running festival set across five stunning regions in the Austrian Alps, featuring 15–27 km routes with 1,100–1,700 m elevation gain, kids’ trails, and support for eco-friendly travel.

Catering & aid stations

Refreshments vary by stage but typically include water, Coke, Andrea Hofmann sports drink, bananas, and energy bars. No on-course Pacemaker lines.

Pacers

Pacemaker / Pacer: target times per start wave and Pacer flag presence are set per stage at the respective start times (09:30 or 09:00) shown in the stage details; Pacers are identified by Pacerflaggen on race day.

Will the entry fee be refunded if I am unable to participate for any reason?

Can I transfer my participation to another person?

Yes, but only after contacting the organizer.

When and where can I pick up my bib number?

You can pick up your bib number either one day before the start of the race at the TVB Kaunertal from 2 – 5 pm or on each race day from 7:45 am at the start. The race bib is for all 5 stages.

What equipment do I need for the run?

The following equipment is mandatory:Trailrunning shoesFood and drinkPersonal beaker (mug, cup, bottle or flask)WhistleMobile phone with emergency numbers 140, 112 and SOS EU ALP AppRain jacketRescue blanketThe food carried to the race must be labelled with the start number. Waste may only be disposed of at the refreshment stations. Violation of this rule will result in disqualification.Not carrying the mandatory equipment will also result in disqualification.

Are poles permitted?

Yes, poles are permitted – but must be carried from the start to the finish.

How do I get from stage to stage?

Everyone is responsible for their own transfer to the next stage location, but it is possible to book a transfer service via our partner HOST. You can find all information about this here: https://www.terra-raetica-trails.com/en/welcome/#anreise

Where can I park?

A free parking area will be provided for participants in each stage location. It is also possible to leave your car in Feichten (stage 1) for the duration of the event.

Are there refreshment stations?

Depending on the length of the stage, there are 1-3 refreshment stations. You can find out more on the interactive map: https://www.terra-raetica-trails.com/en/welcome/#etappenPlease note: there is no refreshment station on the Samnaun Trail.

Can I start together with my dog?

Participation with a dog is permitted under the following conditions:The dog must be kept on a leash for the entire duration of the eventThe dog must be muzzled in the start and finish areaParticipation is out of competitionThe dog must be insured – the dog owner is fully liableA veterinary certificate or confirmation of a vet check must be submittedIt is obligatory to start at the very end of the field of participantsEquipment and food for the dog must be carried by the dog owner

Does the event take place in all weathers conditions?

Generally, the TRT Tour Festival takes place in all weathers. However, in case of extreme weather conditions that endanger the safety of the participants, we reserve the right to change sections of the course or to adapt or even cancel the event or individual stages at short notice.

What are the time limits?

There are time limits for each stage at the refreshment stations and checkpoints, which you can find on the interactive map: https://www.terra-raetica-trails.com/en/welcome/#etappenClick on the red icons with “V” or “CP” on the interactive map.The time limits will also be sent by E-Mail to all participants with the “Participant handout” in time before the event.

What happens if I do not comply with the time limits?

Failure to comply with the time limits will result in a “DNF” for the relevant stage and you will have to return to the start via the exit lines on your own responsibility. You will be allowed to start again at the next stage.

How do I get back if I don't comply with the time limits? (Exit Lines)

The refreshment stations and the checkpoints know about the exit lines and provide information.

In which categories will be evaluated?

Do I get ITRA points for participating?

Yes, you will receive 2 or 3 ITRA points for the successful participation in the entire TRT Tour Festival with all 5 stages. Whether 2 or 3 points depends on the stages, which can change each year by region.

Where can I find pictures of the run?

The pictures are usually provided immediately after each stage via a link on social media (Facebook & Instagram).After the event, all pictures will be collected and sorted and sent to all participants by E-Mail via a link.
