About

The Bath Beat started in 1999 when several people working at Bath Police Station got together to form a walking group. Our police training and instincts meant we were not only meticulous in our planning, but we also made sure that there were plenty of refreshments available. In that first year just a handful of over 40 people did the event. Over the years it has grown with more entries each time. We have added 12.5, 17, and 21 mile routes to the 26.5 mile route and also opened the event to runners. We are now taking 400 entries a year.

Pacers set target times per Startwave shown on the startline schedule and wear Pacerflaggen; refer to the event’s Renntag für Laufende guidance for pacing support.
