About

A multi‑day ultra running event taking place across Essex, linking historic towns and landmarks with challenging off‑road trails. The route showcases rural Essex, including sections through Upminster, Southend, and Tilbury, with rich local history and wildlife. The event is supported by a course manager and fully qualified medical crew, with aid stations providing water and food at regular intervals.

Catering & aid stations

Aid stations are located at regular intervals offering water and food. Due to cross‑contamination risks, checkpoint food cannot accommodate all dietary requirements. Participants are asked to bring their own cups and, if needed, their own food in containers marked with their name and checkpoint number.

Pacers

The event uses a start‑wave system with target pacer times displayed at the ‘Renntag für Laufende’ page. Pacers display flag markers to help runners stay on target; registration includes links to the official ‘Renntag für Laufende’ schedule for each start wave.
