About
The Devils Cardigan is Tasmania’s premier gravel event and a UCI Gravel World Series qualifier, taking riders through iconic World Championship terrain with three major climbs and changeable weather. It supports qualification for the UCI Gravel World Championships in Nannup, Western Australia.
Catering & aid stations
Saturday night dinner at the Dorset Hotel (pre-booked), Sunday breakfast at The Dorset Hotel. On-course Verpflegung includes curry station and fire-cooked items available from 5:30pm.
Pacers
Pacers will be present with pacer flagging on course. Refer to the RaceStartDetails for target times per Start Welle (waves) for each category. Pacers support both Long and Short courses.

FAQ
Do I need an AusCycling licence to race?
An AusCycling Day Licence is sufficient to participate in the Long Course if you are hoping to qualify. Podium or top 25% age group finishers will receive UCI Gravel Worlds entry details requiring a full AusCycling licence and UCI ID.
What is the refund policy?
Greater than 21 days notice: 80% refund minus $20 admin. 7–21 days: 60% refund minus $20 admin. Less than 7 days: no refund. Event cancellation: 100% credit or 60% refund if preferred.
What equipment is compulsory?
Australian Standards bicycle helmet, waterproof jacket (may be compulsory on race day), spare tube + means to fit/inflate, minimum 1 water bottle (2 recommended), nutrition, sense of adventure, largest tyres your gravel bike can fit.
