A traditional fell race in the Lake District where participants choose their own route between manned checkpoints. Organised by the Achille Ratti Climbing Club with support from OMM.

What are the minimum kit requirements?

Map, compass, whistle, waterproof (taped seams) jacket with hood, overtrousers, hat, gloves and emergency food.

Where is registration and kit check?

Registration and kit check at Glenridding Village Hall.

Where is race parking available?

Race parking is available at King George V playing fields, approximately 15 minutes walk from the village hall.

What is the entry limit?

Maximum of 200 runners; entry on the day is subject to that limit.

What is the route like?

Traditional fell race route with checkpoints at Catstye Cam summit, Helvellyn (Swirral Edge), Grisedale Tarn, St Sunday Crag, Barn and Wall Stile, finishing at Glenridding Village Hall. Compulsory sections apply to protect John Muir Trust land.
