About

Mark van Hoorn and René Bleuanus reconnected through their shared passion: ultra-running and history. But they noticed a void in the trail world. While most events focus on the hunt for medals and personal records, they felt a lack of deeper meaning. This is why they founded the Liberation Trail. Not as just another race against the clock, but as a monument in motion. With their ‘ultra-hearts’ and extensive experience, they ensure you can fully focus on the most significant kilometers of your life: a salute to freedom

Catering & aid stations

On-course food and drink stations provide meals and refreshments during the event. Hot meals are served at camp sites; picnic-style options and energy补给 are available at aid stations along each stage.

Pacers

Pacemaker groups run target times per stage (published in Renntag guidance) and are identified by Pacer flag markers on course to help runners maintain desired pace.
