About
The Quest! is a fantasy-themed trail run in Auburn, California where your finish time depends on how hard you adventured. Roll a character class at registration, form a party, complete side quests and battle bosses across 6 or 12 miles of trails on March 13, 2027.
Catering & aid stations
On-course aid stations offer water and hydration mix (7 stops for Half Marathon; 2 stops for 5K; 1 station for 5K Walk).

FAQ
What is the race format and route type?
The Quest is a fantasy trail run with out-and-back and loop segments across 6 or 12 miles of Auburn trails.
Is costume encouraged?
Yes — costumes are strongly encouraged and must honor the realm; outfits need not match your class.
Are there aid stations?
Yes. The Half Marathon has 7 aid stations; the 5K has 2; the 5K Walk has 1. All offer water and hydration mix.
Can I walk the Half Marathon?
Walkers are not eligible for top finisher awards or free apparel swag but receive a participant award and a beer ticket at a reduced entry cost.
What should I bring?
Camera phone (required for certain side quests), backpack or pack, and a water bottle.
How do classes work?
Register and virtually roll a D20 to determine your class (Frog Knight, Mage, Rogue, Bard, Druid, or Knight). Each class grants a unique ability and party bonuses.
