NEPA’s premier 10-mile road race from Pittston to Wilkes-Barre, offering flat, fast course conditions and supporting local nonprofits.
Aid stations located around miles 2.5, 4, 5.5, 7, and 8.5 offer snacks, water, and electrolyte mix.
Pacers will be available starting at each listed start time (Runners at 7:00 a.m.; Walkers at 7:50 a.m.; Handcyclists at 8:00 a.m.). Pacers display flags and are designated on the Renntag schedule; refer to the event schedule for assigned target times by start wave.

The expo and packet pickup is on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Mohegan Pennsylvania (1280 PA-315, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702).
No. Packet pick up is not available on race day. You or a proxy must pick up the packet on Saturday, September 5 at the expo.
Yes. A proxy may pick up your packet if they bring a copy of your ID or your race confirmation.
No. There are no refunds, transfers, or deferrals once registered for the race. However, we can offer you two options. The first option, we can remove you from the entry, and the fee you paid will be seen as a donation for our charity partners. The alternative option, we can switch you to a virtual participant, you can submit your time, and we will send your entrant gift and medal after the event.
The Wyoming Valley Run is limited to 2,000 registrants.
On RunSignUp, you will have the option to sign up under a race group or team. Each team must have at least three people. Everyone on the team will run the full 10-mile course. The three fastest team members will be the “scorers.” Their times will be added together, and the lowest aggregate combined times will determine placement. Awards will go three deep in this category.

The Wyoming Valley Run will provide a complimentary race shuttle from downtown Wilkes-Barre to the start in downtown Pittston. See Transportation + Parking for details.

The race starts in downtown Pittston near the intersection of Main Street and Charles Street. The race finishes on Public Square in Wilkes-Barre.

This rule is for your safety. When walkers begin at 7:00, there is still active traffic on the race course. Even when the roads are officially closed, lead cars and handcyclists will be moving very quickly on the roadway and cannot stop/swerve for pedestrians. When the lead runners pass, it is now safe for walkers to walk on the designated lane(s). Disrespect to local police, race staff, and volunteers will not be tolerated.
Yes. There will be five aid stations along the course at miles 2.5, 4, 5.5, 7, and 8.5. Aid stations will have snacks, water, and electrolyte mix. Port-a-johns will also be stationed along the course.
For your safety, The Wyoming Valley Run does not recommend listening to music and headphones during the race.
There is a four-hour time limit. The course will be shut down at 12:00 p.m. If you are still on the course after the time limit, you run at your own risk.
Yes. The Wyoming Valley Run has a prize purse of $10,000. See the Awards + Elite page for a list of cash prizes.
Yes. The awards ceremony will be on Public Square in Wilkes-Barre.
No. The race will be held rain or shine.
Sorry, we have a no pets policy due to safety concerns and insurance reasons. This includes race participants, spectators, and volunteers. Only service animals are allowed.
The Wyoming Valley Run benefits five local nonprofits: The Cancer Wellness Center of NEPA, Dinners for Kids, Greater Wyoming Valley Area YMCA, Northeast Sight Services, and Patriots Cove.
Yes. The after-party will be at Rodano's immediately following the race. Food and drink specials will be available.
